Network clock server debug method

Network clock server is a relatively common timing equipment in various industry rooms. This article takes SYN21 series network clock server as an example, briefly explains the debugging method of clock server.

The network clock server outputs one network interface to meet a physical isolation network timing. If there are multiple LAN or multiple network segments, it is recommended that 1 ways be used for each other.

Please ensure that after the simple debugging is normal, the antenna will be erected to the roof or terrace, and the network clock server will be connected to the core switch in the LAN.

You need to connect the device directly to the PC machine, and set up a static IP address with a different network segment and different IP for your PC computer.

When you enter IP address in the address bar and enter the web management interface, it is important to note that the IP corresponding to the IP of the time service device and the NTP server needs to connect each other in the same network segment. After entering, modify the relevant configuration.

Test time server can give the computer normal calibration time. Just click on the lower right corner of the computer to open the time, select "Internet time" - change the settings, select "Internet time server synchronization", change the default "time.windows.com" into the clock server modified IP in the input box, and click "update immediately".

After clicking "immediately update", prompt synchronization is successful. It is proved that when the computer and clock server have been successfully matched, if the synchronization error is indicated, it means that this synchronization failure will take several more attempts, but the premise is to ensure that the IP is correct and the network is smooth.


If IP works, the network line is normal. It is recommended to check whether the PC machine can turn on the NTP time client function and whether the windowstime function in the registry is open. In the NTP configuration function, enter the IP of the network clock server, then click "update now". The specific operation method can refer to the random attached electronic version of the documentation.

In the process of using the network clock server, the device can be reset if the device fails to work properly due to some reasons. Reset operation is also called restoring factory settings, etc., so that the device can restore the factory default settings.

Forget the time server's management address, manage password, manage IP or forget how to restore the initial configuration after the advanced configuration, you can reset the device.

After reset, the configuration information of every server before the time server will be lost, and the time server needs to be reset. The IP login address and management password of the network port are revert to the factory default.

There are two ways to reset the time server. One is to reset the hole by hardware, and to operate under the condition of energizing the device, and to turn on for at least 2 minutes. Another way is to log back to the webpage management interface for software reset. The prerequisite is that you can login to the management interface properly. If you have any problems, please contact with the manufacturer first and finish them under their guidance.
