Introduction of GPS signal generator function

GPS signal generator, also known as GPS signal transmitter or GPS signal source, is widely used in all kinds of scientific research institutions and units that need to simulate GPS signals, simulate static positioning and simulate motion trajectories. For example, using the GPS signal generator to simulate the actual flight path of UAV or using it as a speedometer, it can be used in the laboratory to test the accuracy of GPS module equipment with certain speed.


The SYN5203 GPS signal generator can preset multiple tracks without restriction. Generally speaking, there are two ways to track products: use SYN2302D GPS receiver to record in real time and make dynamic tracks on the SYN5203 simulator.


The dynamic trajectory can be used to draw the track map on the map software that the equipment comes with. After drawing, the detailed data such as elevation, speed and acceleration can be adjusted.

The SYN5203 GPS signal source mainly has four functions: track record, dynamic track production, static track production and GPS track sending.

Static trajectories only need to input longitude and latitude to generate sampling data. We can set ephemeris and set track start time in this functional area. It is suitable for simulating GPS signals in scientific research institutions, such as simulating whether GPS receivers will turn over after many years.

Track recording is suitable for electronic fence testing units. For example, when the vehicle navigation is directly connected to the equipment and antenna, click the real-time track record, select the COM port and the baud rate, and confirm the serial port configuration. When the data is displayed, click the "Save button", choose the path and the name, set the record and start the recording. The arrow in the recording process will turn into a red X. After recording, click the button and the track will be finished. Note that the recorded track needs to be saved as TXT format.


After recording the track, if you want to copy the track to achieve the purpose of multiple cycles, you can enter the "lap to turn data" function in the production of dynamic trajectory. Change the trajectory of 10 minutes to 100 minutes or longer. Once the track is changed to multiple cycles at one time, each track function is transmitted in real time, that is, the running time of the track is consistent with the standard Beijing time.


In order to avoid changing the location of the track in the middle of the track when sending again, it is necessary to place the starting point and the destination in one place when recording the track. In this way, even if a track is run and clicked again, the interval between them will not be affected.

In terms of time, the track of one minute is 300M, 32g supports 100 minutes, 64g supports 200 minutes, and so on, users can buy bigger SD cards themselves. You can also access the hard disk of 1T.

In the GPS track transmission function of the SYN5203 GPS signal source, we design the signal intensity adjustable, 0-47 according to the customer environment choice, generally chooses 8. It also has a humanized circular transmit track button. Note that the format of the track sent here needs to be in.Bin format. And the trajectory produced before each transmission is displayed at the time of production, and will not be real-time, which is suitable for scientific research institutions.
