This is the thirteenth launch of the Beidou global navigation satellite system "Beidou three project". It is the twenty-second and twenty-third satellite of the system. The first Beidou double star launch this year is also the forty-seventh and forty-eighth of the Beidou satellite family. It belongs to the middle circular orbit satellite.

It is worth noting that two new satellites are equipped with a lightweight hydrogen atomic clock and a new navigation task processor for the first time in their orbit, which can effectively improve the satellite's performance indicators and service quality, while carrying the international search and rescue payload, can further enhance search and rescue capabilities and search and rescue scope.

The launch also marked the transition and upgrading of the Beidou three network from the basic system to the complete system, and the Beidou satellite began to enter the high-density launch phase.

This is the 104th launch of the "gold medal rocket" long three a series, and the 312nd flight of the long march series launch vehicle.
