Using existing Windows systems to build NTP server solutions

Methods / steps


Modify registry key. In the search box, open the registry, use the command: regedit, and the result is as follows:

Enter registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - >SYSTEM - >CurrentControlSet - >Services - >W32Time - >TimeProviders - >NtpServer


Enabled is set to 1 to open NTP (system default 0). The result is shown in the following figure:

AnnounceFlags is set to 5 (system default 10). The result is shown below:

Enter the system service, find the Windows time service, use the command: services.msc, and the result is as follows:

Set the Windows time service to auto start, click apply and confirm, and the result is shown in the following figure:

The right mouse button restarts the windows time service. The result is shown in the following figure:

Restart the computer or host, all configurations will take effect, and the NTP clock is completed. At this time, other devices will need to fill in the clock synchronization of the computer IP, and click the update to synchronize the clock. The result is as follows:
