Recently, the time server and its sub clock developed by our factory have been successfully operated in a high school in Guangxi province.

In 2011, the Ministry of Education issued the "national education examination standardized examination point specification (Provisional)", which clearly stipulates the time server and clock system of the school. Without affecting the normal examination, the clock in the examination room should be set up to provide reference for the candidates.

According to the plan of the Ministry of education, the whole country should realize the comprehensive management of the online examination, two-way audio command and examination work of the national education examination based on the standard Beijing time information on a unified platform.At present, all provinces and municipalities and autonomous regions have gradually started construction under the requirements of the Ministry of education's unified deployment and technical specifications.

In practical applications, due to the inconsistency of each host time on campus, the same operation will be inconsistent on several hosts' time, resulting in the server being unable to perform normally.For example, there are a lot of network devices, servers and hosts in the campus network. They carry the functions of billing, maintenance and management in the campus, and the relative accuracy of time is relatively high.Therefore, we need to build a school network clock system to ensure that the transmission of information between these network devices can ensure a high degree of unity in time.

The time server is set up to provide precise time information for the entire campus network system. At the same time, it provides standard time signals for the related intelligent facilities network systems such as computer LAN, and synchronize the timing devices of the systems with the system, so as to achieve a unified time standard.Each classroom is equipped with a digital display sub clock, which shows that the time of day, month, day, and time is intuitive. It provides intuitive and unified Beijing time for teachers and students, and also accords with the planning of the electronic clock system of the Ministry of education.

In the overall design, in line with the principle of "reliable, practical, advanced, economical, easy to maintain and expand", we choose a set of NTP network timing system.The whole system is composed of GPS and Beidou dual-mode timing antenna, and it is composed of time server (Mu Zhong), Zi Zhong and switchboard.The time server selects SYN2136 type, outputs 2 NTP network ports, achieves redundancy backup, and equipped with lightning arrester; sub Zhong Xuanyong is the 3 inch sub clock in SYN6109 type network sub clock series, and this configuration clock is 80.The clock system of the whole school has the following characteristics:

(1) the mother clock acquires standard time information from the Beidou GPS satellite and transfers the information through the TCP/IP (RI45) network to provide accurate, standard, safe, reliable and multi-functional time service for the sub clock and the time service terminal.

(2) configuring clock system management software, which can be detected remotely. The management software provides national patent certificate, and monitors the working status of the sub clock in real time. Once the synchronization exception occurs, it will send out the alarm sound, send the notice by mail, etc.

(3) the client configuration software is provided free of charge. The IP of all the sub clocks can be modified at one time, eliminating the trouble of many direct connections.

(4) the sub clock can set the start and end time of the screen, and the brightness of the screen. The brightness of the screen can be adjusted to 9 levels. The higher the level, the brighter the digital tube can be adjusted according to the actual situation of the site.
